The New York Times is reporting that at tomorrow's summit in Egypt, Ariel Sharon and Abu Mazen will announce their intentions to suspend attacks.
This is all well and great except for the little fact that Abu Mazen does not have firm control over Hamas, Fatah, Al Aqsa etc. and his pronouncement may not actually have a significant impact. Nonetheless, Israel will be forced to tie its hands behind its back even if the attacks against it continue. A precarious situation, indeed. Let's hope for the best.
